As the central hub of sailing within the Caribbean, Antigua is where the first Caribbean Yacht Charter business was set up many years ago and it has long been a favourite location for many sailors, especially during the season of November  to May.  Home to some of the world's premier sailing events, the Marinas and Harbours are buzzing with excitement as the yachts arrive in time for the Charter Yacht Show; Super Yacht; Classics and of course Antigua Sailing Week.

Out of season, Antigua's yachting areas slow down a little and people and businesses take the opportunity for a well deserved break or a 'spring clean'!   However, a number of the bars and restaurants are still open but life settles down to a slower pace for a month or two.  In the capital St Johns and other tourist areas, it is business as usual - especially with Carnival just around the corner.
